Pastor Calvin Watkins II is a native of Atlanta, Georgia the eldest of three children born to Pastor Calvin Watkins, Sr., (current Vice President of the North American Division of Seventh-day Adventists) and Ruth Watkins.
Pastor Watkins earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Theology from Oakwood College in 2004; A Son of the South Atlantic Conference. Upon graduation, he began his ministry in the Gainesville/Toccoa, Georgia district. Following this, he was blessed to serve as pastor in Goldsboro and LaGrange, North Carolina, from 2010 to 2017. It was one of the greatest gifts of his life to experience the fellowship of friendship in the area.
During his tenure, he and his wife, Névine, celebrated the births of their two daughters Liana (now 13) and Kailyn (now 10). Parkstown and Goldsboro will always have a special place in his heart!
He formerly served as Senior Pastor of the Forest Hill Seventh-day Adventist Church in Forest Hill, Texas, where his church recently paid off their mortgage and is continuing renovations…
Though Parkstown, Goldsboro, and Forest Hill will always have a special place in his heart, God has guided his journey to Cleburne, Texas! Excitedly, he looks to be of service to the community, here in Cleburne!
When God’s people gather in service there is no challenge we cannot meet, by His grace. Our praise endures through the night, until the shadows fall, and morning shall break. Until the crooked is made straight and rough places made plain. When God shall right every wrong.
